Many of our patients liken our practice to coming home; a place where they feel welcome, cared for and valued. We’ve embraced a values-based model of business to serve all ages and walks of life in our community. After over forty years, we’re ready to pass the torch and our patient files onto someone who shares the same vision.
Our bright office is nestled in the heart of downtown Guelph and features a waiting room with floor to ceiling windows and a dedicated kid’s play area. Two private exam rooms equipped with sinks share a connecting door to allow for easy and private consultation between doctors. A wall separates our administration and dispensary to offer an additional semi-private space for patients.
We currently serve our active patient list of 2500 with two optometrists, one full time employee and three part time employees. Administration uses i-file, however, patient records are on 4×6” paper charts. The office is currently open 4 days a week from 9-4 with an hour for lunch at noon.
Parking is on street and our location is easily accessible on public transit. Across the street, construction of parking and a condo building that will house the Guelph Public Library is on track for completion in 2026.
A business appraisal has been completed for the market value of $288,130 and the property has been assessed for $400,000. Our preference is to sell the business and property together; however, we are willing to look at various possibilities with potential buyers. In order to ensure a swift sale and continuity of care for our patients, we are also prepared to consider your offer on the business price only.
Ideally, we would like to make the transition for our patients as painless as possible and would be happy to assist in helping patients and their new optometrist find their footing together. Our priority is ensuring our patients have a new optometrist to call home. We hope that’s with you.
