Optometrists Tell Ontarians to Stop Making “Eyescuses”

You may notice something different on your next Go train ride or when grabbing your morning coffee at Tim Hortons.

This May for Vision Health Month, the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) is launching its Eyescuses campaign which calls on Ontarians to stop making excuses and to book an eye exam with their local optometrist.

“Eye exams are an important investment in your overall health and wellness” says Dr. Joshua C. Smith, President of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. “There is no Eyescuse why you should put off seeing your optometrist.”

As part of the Eyescuses campaign, Ontarians will learn more about their eye health and see the value of comprehensive eye exams through fun, informative announcements on Go trains, Tim Hortons TV, Breakfast Television, Blue Jays radio, KISS FM and much more.

Dr. Smith added, “By doing a thorough examination of the internal health of the eyes, optometrists can detect any issues early on so you can get the treatment you need. Show your eyes the love they deserve and enjoy the beauty of sight for a lifetime.”
