Seeking an energetic, professional individual that wishes to practice optometry in a full-scope office offering vision therapy from a behavioral point of view. No previous experience required in behavioral optometry or vision therapy. Your passion to learn, while providing high quality optometric care in all aspects of optometry and making connections in the community are the only requirements.
Front desk staff and dispensary staff are well trained. Dispensary has over 500 frames with a generous mix of men’s women’ and the largest selection of children’s frames in town.
There are 2 vision therapists on site to handle our expanding caseload of vision therapy patients.
In keeping with a behavioral point of view, we do not have an auto-refractor, though if required it will be added. Staff are trained on both manual and automated lensometers.
Equipment on site: Optomap, OCT, VF, pachymeter, Goldman & Perkins tonometers
Referrals to all sub-specialties of ophthalmology in Hamilton and Brantford.
Office hours are currently:
Monday & Wednesday 9 am – 5pm: exams and vision therapy
Tuesday 9 am -7 pm: exams and vision therapy
Thursday 12:30- 7 pm: exams and vision therapy
Friday 9 am – 3 pm : exams only, we like our weekends free and even more so to start them early!
We are located in Caledonia a thriving and growing community along the Grand River, 20 – 30 minutes from Hamilton or Brantford. The community is a mix of established farming families and new families who have relocated from Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Burlington and places further away.
