Ontario Association of Optometrists Appoints Justin A. Brown as CEO

TORONTO, January 7, 2019 – The Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Justin Brown as CEO, effective January 7, 2019.

Mr. Brown is a visionary leader with a proven track-record of success at the federal and provincial levels of government, and in the not-for-profit and private sectors. He is a former Chief of Staff to the Chair of the Ontario Cabinet and served in a number of senior roles in government from 1996-2003.

Mr. Brown is known for bringing consensus amongst diverse stakeholders and advocating for policy change, funding and access to new innovative therapies to improve the health of Ontarians. Prior to joining OAO, Mr. Brown held senior leadership roles as Director at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, as Vice President at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and as a senior consultant in the private sector.
